Amanda Hunt

Study of a Calla Lily. The warm, dark brown background sets off the fresh delicate whites and creams of the Lily's petals. I have always been facinated by these beautiful flowers and the smoothness of the natural shape. When I was given one recently I had to try my hand at painting it. I really enjoyed working this painting to life and developing the detail and shadows.

This painting has been finished with a satin protective varnish.
